Scrap Choppers allow for better, safer handling and recycling of scrap, eliminating the need for dangerous human handling and reducing waste. The Scrap Chopper can operator in fully automatic or manual, with a 25 hp motor to chop scarf and dual 5 hp pinch roll motors to provide ample power for scrap processing demands.

Features
The Scrap Chopper machine performs the function of processing ID scarf into small manageable pieces. It addresses the need to increase safety of scarf handling and allows convenient handling of it once it has been processed. Pinch rolls grasp scarf and force into rotating cutter blades at approximately 15 ft/second. Cutter blade rotates at approximately 300 rpm and cuts scarf into 20" long lengths. Scarf is deposited onto the out-feed chute where a scrap bin can be positioned for easy handling and removal.
- 25 HP cutter blade motor with proximity sensor for speed feedback. Cutter blades are blocks with cutting edges that can be rotated as they wear.
- Dual 5 HP pinch roll motors to provide ample power for scrap processing demands. Top Pinch roll pivots are designed to accommodate varying sizes of scarf.
- Scrap Chopper is capable of processing 4-1/2" through 13-3/8" API casing into easy to handle 12" lengths.
