The Brandt Bundling Station handles and arranges pipe or hollow structural sections (HSS) into bundles sized according to the product size. Fully automated and controlled from a touch screen operator station, the Bundler builds the programmed configuration and fully contains the sides to maintain the shape until strapping is completed. Once completed, a lateral transfer system stages the bundles onto an unloading table for their final transfer. The bundler can handle a wide range of pipe sizes from 2 3/8" to 9 5/8".
Features
- This equipment will handle round pipe into predetermined bundle sizes and configurations.
- All bundle configurations will be programmed, and available for selection on touch screen panel on operator station.
- Once the lift blades count the pipe layer, they are accumulated at a pop up stop to await building of bundle layer.
- The extending fork is extended so that the layer can be released to roll onto the building fork.
- A one way stop eliminates pipe from bouncing back out of position, and an upper containment is lowered to hold pipe in position while extending fork is retracted.
- The building fork will lower so that next layer can be released by pop up stops.
- The cycle repeats with the PLC controlling the pipe count so that the hexagon bundle can take shape.
- Once desired bundle is built, the building fork places bundle on conveyor rolls to convey out of way for next bundle. The bundle is fully contained on sides to maintain shape until strapping is completed.
