The Brandt End Drift acts as a gauge to verify the end of the pipe was not crushed or deformed by the lathe or the bucker during chucking. The End Drift runs a plug through the end of the pipe and if it can pass through without catching, the pipe passes inspection.

Throughput Requirements
- The End Drifter is designed for maximum throughput, with drag chains and transfer conveyor to minimize indexing time.
Functionality
- The End Drifter is used to check pipe ID for a specified length from ends. If the drift plug can go through a pipe for this specified length, the pipe is OK. Otherwise the pipe fails.
- The end drift works similarly to the Full body drift, but is only 8 feet long.
