A multimodal excavator and wheel loader in one versatile machine, the RTB 130 is mounted on a John Deere 710 base chassis and powered by a mighty 130 hp engine and high capacity hydraulics. This ensures maximum power flows to the attachments whether doing tie, rail and ballast maintenance, undercutting, tamping or brush cutting. Ready for road or rail travel up to 21 mph, this robust vehicle has an impressive reach of 26 feet and boasts a maximum lift of over 7,500 lbs on the backhoe bucket and over 13,000 lbs on the loader. UNRIVALED SUSPENSION FOR SAFETY AND STABILITY

Setting the RTB 130 apart is its unique suspension on both front and rear hi-rail gear, providing greater stability and improved operator safety while allowing it to better handle variations in track geometry. The AREMA compliant hi-rail gear features 10-inch wheels with 4 inch double roller bearings for a reliable, long life.

Front Hi-Rail Gear

Up front, the rail gear has two adjustable height settings - higher clearance for travel, accessing on/off rail and maneuvering around the worksite, as well as lower clearance for work mode. Safety pins lock the gear in the up or down position. The pivoting front axle allows for cant in the rail for added safety.

Rear Hi-Rail Gear

Whether in rail or road travel mode, the rear hi-rail gear has a ground clearance of 12 inches. The 6,000-pound rated rear suspension applies a constant down pressure, ensuring safe and reliable contact with the rail head even when traveling over unlevelled crossings or rail frogs. Safety pins lock the gear in the up or down position.
