Children’s Hospital Gets Boost From Brandt

March 11, 2025

The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation in Edmonton raised more than $1 million with the help of a sponsorship from Brandt. The company sponsored the foundation’s Tee Up For Tots fundraiser, where golfers tee up to support children’s health care.

Sponsorship dollars go toward ensuring the hospital invests in the best people, programs, equipment, and research. Investments from businesses like Brandt have made it possible for the Stollery Children’s Hospital to:

  • Provide a 24/7 mental health walk-in clinic at the Stollery Emergency that supports kids who present with mental health concerns
  • Hire a mental health therapist, clinical nurse educator, social worker, mental health nurse and a licensed practical nurse to support kids experiencing mental health concerns
  • Run family-centered care programs such as Child Life music, art and pet therapy programs, and the Awasisak Indigenous Health Program.
  • Fund 155 pediatric mental health research projects at the University of Alberta through the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute.

“We’re proud to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and their vital work in funding pediatric mental health,” says Matt Semple, Senior Vice President—Marketing at Brandt. “It’s an honor to be part of a community that comes together to ensure the best care and resources for children and their families."

Because of the generosity and philanthropy of community leaders, local celebrities, and businesses, Tee Up for Tots has raised more than $16 million since its inception in 2000.
