Childcare Centre in Edenwold Gets Boost From Brandt.
June 10, 2024
The Edenwold Early Years & Youth Centre (EEYYC) got a $2000 donation from Brandt toward their fundraising efforts for areas such as a new building and training for childcare workers.
EEYYC allows parents in the community to enter or re-enter the workforce by providing childcare services in Edenwold, SK, and nearby communities such as Balgonie, McLean, Emerald Park, and White City.
“Here at Brandt, we have strong ties to the central Saskatchewan community in and around the village of Edenwold. We are proud and excited to show our support for the Edenwold Early Years & Youth Centre, knowing this amazing team will provide the best care and programming for the families in the area," says Shane Clark, Brandt Division Manager, Prairies.
The centre serves 24 children and has a waitlist of double that. A new building is under construction and is slated to be complete by summer 2024. Once the building is finished, the centre will be able to increase their childcare spaces to 40.
“EEYYC is thankful for all the donations, sponsorships, and grants that we have received. We are striving to better our little community, and with Brandt’s help, we are on the path to success," says EEYYC Executive Director Brandy Holmes.
The donation is part of the Brandt Thanks A Billion program, which just celebrated its twelfth anniversary. Since its inception, the program has invested more than $25 million in 250+ communities across Canada.
