Brandt supports victims of tragic Bloomington school bus accident
December 21, 2018
We are deeply saddened by the tragic school bus-transport truck collision that recently claimed two lives and sent nine others to hospital near Brandt’s new US home. The head-on collision occurred as the Normal Community West High School Wildcats girls’ basketball team was returning home from a game against Champaign Central on December 6, 2018.
We have been made to feel very welcome by the community since opening our doors in Bloomington and, in response, we’ve reached out to help with a $5,000.00 donation to the Unit 5 Educational Foundation in support of families affected by the tragedy. The funds were presented by Brandt’s Northern US Sales Manager, Hans Rasmussen at a December 21
st media event where Unit 5 delivered updates on the aftermath of the accident, including the condition of the surviving victims.
GoFundMe pages have been set up in support of two of the most seriously wounded; team coach
Steve Price and bus driver
Mark Kuhn, both recovering from multiple traumatic injuries. Brandt employees are encouraged to contribute in support of these and other accident victims and their families.
