Hall Family of Companies (HALL) consists of several speciality companies that serves the BC mainland and provide services a variety of services including; civil construction, underground utility installation, deep foundation installation, excavation and shoring, aggregate supply, asphalt supply and paving, concrete curb and flatworks, mechanical services, and bulk rail handling.
HALL has been using the largest fleet of 3D Machine Control (3DMC) in British Columbia for the last six years. Our automation fleet includes excavators, dozers, graders, rollers and stringless self-steering MM accurate slipform curb machines. HALL is proud to be the first in Canada to implement Topcon RDMC Smooth ride LIDAR technology in both variable depth paving and variable depth milling. HALL is a young and innovative company thriving to get to the next level of excellence. We pride ourselves in providing our team with best equipment and technology to get the job done right the first time.
HALL adopted Topcon 3DMC technology in 2014 to streamline our production process, generate quality products and reduce overhead costs. By that time, we had identified that innovations in technology and automation are impacting every project of our entire footprint in BC. Our equipment operation and maintenance costs have gone down significantly because of more mileage out of undercarriages, less wear on ground engaging parts, and overall decrease in fuel consumption. The systems provide a user-friendly interface, which makes the job of the operator much easier and have helped us achieve optimal productivity with less experienced operators. The real success with the technology is that it has allowed us to address the changing workforce (due to retirement) by bringing in less experienced operators while not losing production.
HALL's collaboration with Brandt's Positioning Division has helped our company in improving our efficiencies and accuracy when compared to the outcome of traditional construction layout. Operator fatigue and rework has dramatically decreased as these advanced automation systems provide them with "real time" graphical information of the machine's position in relation to available site design data. The team at Brandt provided us the confidence that we selected the right partner to guide us through the adoption of new technology. Their competent and knowledgeable team of technicians and trainers worked with our whole team, ranging from our designers, surveyors, and to our operators, to develop the most efficient workflow and process to ensure we understand the designs of our equipment, and operations quickly. The Brandt team has solved any type of field issues promptly and effectively helping to keep our production moving forward. Additionally, when needed Topcon has also stepped up to the plate with technical support.
We strongly recommend Brandt for equipment technology support services.
