January 9, 2012
Brandt Engineered Products Ltd. introduces the ID Scarf Blow Out / Wash Out station, designed for simple, reliable operation of flushing the scarf leftover inside the pipe from the ERW welding process.
This equipment has been designed and manufactured to fulfill the customer's requirements for function, efficiency, convenience, flexibility and durability.
A precise Indexing System and Walking Beam system ensure pipes are easily segregated from the feed skids and moved into the wash out area and blow out area. The overhead truss system, which spans the full length of the machine, has a cart with multiple nozzles to direct high flow washout water and blow out the pipe when washout is complete. Consisting of a pinch roll system to grab the scarf as it is washed out and a Scrap Chopper to chop up the scarf into 10”-12” pieces, ID scarf is easily removed from the inner diameter and collected for removal. Controlled by a floor mounted operator station with a touch screen interface, the ID Scarf Blow Out / Wash Out station is easily controlled by the operator, and allows for fully automatic, semi-automatic, or manual operating modes.
