May 11, 2018
The Brandt Group of Companies is pleased to announce that they have teamed up with a number of charities, operating in Regina, to enable local youth to attend the upcoming 100th anniversary 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup as a part of the company’s Thanks A Billion program. The initiative will provide access for fifty youth per game to enjoy Canada’s best junior hockey action from comfort of the Brandt Charity Zone at the Brandt Centre.
“We’re excited to be able to offer local youth the chance to participate in this once-in-alifetime hockey event,” says Brandt President, Shaun Semple.
“We are honoured to be able to give back in tangible ways to a community that has faithfully supported our growth for over 80 years.”
In addition to great seats for Mastercard Memorial Cup hockey, each charity group will receive the opportunity to tour the Fanfest Zone and enjoy the various interactive games, the Hockey Hall of Fame displays and many other fun and exciting activities.
“There are over 276,000 Sask. residents impacted by diabetes - many of these are young children who are hockey players, just like our own JDRF National Spokesperson Max Domni from the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL,” adds Randy Durovick, Fundraising Coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, one of the organizations partnering with Brandt.
“JDRF says a big thank you to Brandt Group of Companies for providing this opportunity for so many children to attend this prestigious championship - and hope many of these kids will strive to achieve their hockey and life dreams!”
Charitable organizations that will benefit from this initiative include the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatchewan, KidSport, Canadian Cancer Society, and Ronald McDonald House.
