BC Wildfires Updates
July 20, 2017
On Saturday, July 15, an evacuation order was issued for Williams Lake, B.C. Fortunately, we put an emergency evacuation plan in place last week when the initial evacuation notice was issued. All of our staff and their families are safe and accounted for. Those who required assistance to relocate safely have received the help that they needed and are out of harm’s way.
Our top priority has been to support the safe evacuation of Williams Lake and to provide backup for those fighting the blaze during this critical time.
We have a number of customers who are among those working to contain the fire and we are fully dedicated to supporting them as they fight the blaze. For that reason, our Branch Manager and three of our techs remain at their posts; they are committed to keeping the Brandt branch open to provide parts and service for customers working the front-line fires.
We have enjoyed excellent cooperation from local authorities who have given us permission to keep our parts logistics operational to support our customers fighting the fires with equipment.
For our customers who are fighting the fire, the Brandt team at our 24/7 Customer Call Center is fully aware of the critical situation in Williams Lake and is ready to respond to their needs any time - day or night. Please continue to call the Williams Lake direct line at (250) 392-2901 and your call will be transferred to a Brandt employee who will assist you.
As the situation remains fluid, we will be adjusting our plans as the conditions change. Once the danger has passed and the community is re-opened, we have a plan in place to get our people and facility back up to full capacity as quickly as possible.
We are a part of this community – as individuals and as a company - and Brandt stands ready to support Williams Lake in any way that we can.
